Epcot’s Hidden Gem – France’s Les Halles Boulangerie et Patisserie

France is Elly and my #1 place to eat in Epcot.  We are obsessed.

Epcot France: Boulangerie Patisserie

They recently redid the France pavilion.  The quick service used to be just inside where the ice cream store is now. (The green door on the left of the photo).  This is insane because that place is soooo small!!!  So beyond the ice cream shop, there is now a huge store and restaurant called Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie.

You go up to the counter and a French cast member will take your order.

Glass cases of delecious pastries!!!

First are the sandwiches.  I always order a Croque Monsieur!

The ready made sandwich case. Yum!

Here’s an insider tip:  Get your sandwich toasted!! They don’t offer it; you’ll have to ask, but it is so worth it!  The melted cheese tastes so good!

Up next are the desserts.  The same cast member will walk with you along the desserts and you just point to the ones you want.  You really can’t go wrong because they are all delicious!!!

Yes, please!

Stuffed macarons and creamy desserts.

We discovered that France sells these really yummy macarons in boxes.  Each one is a different flavor/color and they are SO good!

The shell is crispy and the inside is soft and moist!  My favorite is the chocolate and Elly likes the pistachio.  Definitely try them next time you visit!

This is the Orange Macaroon that Epcot is selling for the Flower and Garden Show! So pretty!

Chocolate!

I really could go on and on about how good the desserts are at France!! They really nailed it!!  My favorite dessert is the chocolate mouse!

I recommend going with your family or with a big group so you can get lots of desserts and try them all!

  1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I have not been to WDW since 2009 and am going next month, and this will be my first stop. I’m so glad to hear they have expanded, it was so small before and the lines were long, but I guess longer now.

  2. It is definitely worth it! My only complaints is that they put in this huge restaurant, but only put in 2 restrooms and there is still limited seating. I recommend having a member of your party stake out a nice table outside the restaurant, to wait for you while you order. The buildings and the flowers really make you feel like you’re actually in France! 🙂

I hope you have a great vacation!!
