Vice President of Downtown Disney, Keith Bradford along with Cast Members and guests gathered yesterday to celebrate the official opening of the new Marketplace Boat Dock and Saratoga Bridge.
This is the first of many milestones that will take place in the largest expansion in the history of Downtown Disney as it becomes Disney Springs by 2016.
The newly opened bridge will offer a way for pedestrians to be able to go back and forth from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Downtown Disney area. In addition to the bridge, the Marketplace Boat Dock, that is located near the Marketplace Bus Loop, will provide easy access for those going to the West Side and Pleasure Island.
Disney says that guests who utilize the water taxi will learn more about what’s coming to Disney Springs.
The Marketplace Boat Dock operates daily starting at 10:30 a.m. until closing, weather permitting.
