DCP Program Acceptance Fees

Congratulations!

Congratulations!

We think that the DCP acceptance fees are very high considering the minimum wages that the DCP internship pays.  Interns in the WDW program recently (10/2014) got a raise to $9/hr. bringing them in line with what Universal theme park pays their part-time employees.

DL interns make slightly more, $9.50/hr., but pay more for rent, etc. and free bus transportation isn’t offered by Disney to the DL interns like in WDW.

Fees Due Upon Accepting Program Invitation

Housing costs range from $78 to $109 per week depending on the size of the apartment and which apartment complex a participant is assigned to live in during his or her DCP program. Apartments have two to four bedrooms (with two or three participants in each bedroom).

Housing costs are automatically deducted weekly from cast members’ paychecks, so they don’t have to worry about turning in a check at the beginning of the month. This cost includes all utilities such as electricity, cable hookup, waste disposal and local phone service; as well as the various resort-style amenities featured at each complex.

  1. […] Once you pay for the $350 Disney College Program Acceptance fee, you are able to select your arrival date. The reason why the fee costs that specific amount of money is because $100 is to financially help pay for all the fun activities that DCPs get to do during their program. In addition, the other $250 is to be used as a security deposit for whichever DCP Housing complex that you will be placed in. If you are still having trouble understanding this fee, please click here. […]
