Welcome to Walt Disney World!

We thought we would post the upcoming blockout dates for using your Disney guest passes for all four WDW theme parks for the next few months in case family and friends are planning a visit to Orlando to see you!

January 2018 – March 2018:  The blockout dates for the 4 WDW parks are below.

Magic Kingdom:

We expect blockout days might be added in March because Easter in April 1st.

Looking good! Festival of the Arts is going on January 12 – Feb 19, 2018.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios:

Looking good at DHS! Warning: Still lots and lots of construction with a lot of attractions closed!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom:

Now, this calendar we believe is correct. Palm Sunday is March 25th, so Easter Week is March 24th – April 1, 2018. Expect heavy crowds at Pandora!

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon:

Note about the Disney Water Parks:  Jan. 1 through March 24, 2018, active Florida-site Cast Members and eligible Employees receive complimentary self-admission to Disney Water Parks. In addition, they may purchase discounted Guest tickets at 50% off for their number of eligible admits. Cast and Employees must visit the water park along with their Guests.  Please note that the water parks close when the temperature falls below 60 degrees.

Always check for current updates at: Updated Blockout Dates. Sometimes Disney will add or release blockout days depending on revised park crowd forecasts (based on pre-ticket sales and resort/dining reservation loads).

These are the Main Gate Pass blockout dates for guests of CMs using the Disney Guest Passes, not the blockout dates for CMs.  The CM self admission pass is only blocked out a few days a year, mostly at MK.

During guest blockout days, you can’t use your guest passes to swipe friends and family into the park for free, but CMs can still get in.

Remember, CMs can buy discounted park tickets for their guests at the Company D store to use on blocked out days.

There are good days to visit WDW (green dots) and very BAD days to visit WDW (red dots). Don’t waste your time and money visiting Disney World on red dot days!!!

Ever wonder what it’s like to work for Disney???

We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.

We’ve included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney. Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.
