Queen Elsa is annexing the current vacant lot located between the Mexico and Norway pavilions for a project titled ‘Frozen Meet and Greet Building.’

According to the filed documents, the new 1+ acre project consists of building an approximately 13,000 square feet facility that ‘will house a Disney guest attraction and a women’s restroom,’ as well as a new 2,000 square foot ‘modular type’ building that will replace one that needs to be demolished for the new project.

We expect that the look of the building will be based on the palace in Arendelle, very Scandinavian in design, and will include:

  • Meet & Greet area,
  • Gift shop very similar to the Wandering Oaken shop that was at Hollywood Studios all summer and fall 2014,
  • Perhaps a “snow” play area too. That also was very popular this past summer.
  • A new and very much needed women’s restroom.

In addition, two backstage parking spots with 18 spaces will be constructed. Judging by the illustration and aerial photographs included in the filing, it appears the new facility will have its own direct access to the World Showcase Lagoon area and will not connect directly with the existing Norway pavilion.

November 2013:  At the Anna and Elsa meet & greet  in Norway- so pretty!

The Frozen village.

Maybe the building’s design will look like this??

We’ve written a book about our year working at Disney World in the Disney College Program: Two Girls and a Mouse Tale. It’s filled with advice about the DCP program and how to get the most out of your internship.

We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program (Fall 2013/Spring 2014) and wrote about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.

We give advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship at Disney, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney.

Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.
