The Magic Carpets of Aladdin

All aboard.! Your flying carpet ride awaits...

All aboard!  Our flying carpet ride awaits…

Our first day off together didn’t happen until over a month after we started working for Disney.  And, what did we decide to do???

A Day of Fun at the Magic Kingdom, of course!

It is well into September now and the summer crowds have dramatically – and thankfully –thinned to much more pleasant levels since all the kids have returned to school after Labor Day weekend.

Adventureland is our favorite land!

Located over in Adventureland, the Magic Carpets of Aladdin is such a fun ride!  We think that it’s a cooler version of the Dumbo ride because you pilot flying “magic carpets” instead of elephants.

Insider Tip #1:  The wait times are always much, much shorter at the Flying Carpets than they are over at the Dumbo ride.  In fact, there was no wait at all when we got there!

Insider Tip #2: Sit in the front seat to control how high your carpet flies and sit in the back seat to make it tilt forwards and back.

Insider Tip #3:  Yes, the camel “spits”!  It’s controlled by a behind-the-scenes cast member, and yes, they can see you!

Flying high!

Flying high with the wind in my hair!

We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program (Fall 2013/Spring 2014) and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.
We included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney.
Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.
