At the Olaf meet & greet at California Adventure Park.  He’s at Disney World’s Blizzard Beach in the summertime too!

Meeting Thor

Meeting Thor.  You can only meet Thor in California because of Universal Studios restrictions in Florida. You’ll never see him at Disney World.

Disneyland Hotel Tip:  We always stay at the Del Sol Inn hotel across the street and just walk in.

We went to Disneyland again last summer.

When we were there, it was was mostly cloudy (the “marine layer”) until noon and barely 70 degrees on most days!  You needed a jacket at night and it even sprinkled several times – a rarity in June in southern California!

We went to see all the Disney stars on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame! So fun!

disneyland (2)

Don’t forget to visit the nearby Hollywood Walk of Fame…The Disney Company has a lot of stars on it….Walt, Snow White, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Tinkerbell, Disneyland….it was fun!

So by chance do you know how the guest system works at Disneyland for a Disney World seasonal cast member now that the way tickets are distributed changed? I

    Like

    • The process is still the same in that you have to go to Guest Relations with your company ID to get guest passes. The only thing that changed is that seasonal cast members must now work some hours (150 minimum) before getting guest passes, rather than having them automatically available to use soon after starting.

Except that before you would take blue ID up to front gate and they printed off tickets for you and they didn’t count towards your guest passes because Disneyland and Disney world are on different systems. I was just wondering if that was the same or since they are on a similar system as disneyland cps now if it would be different.

      • Still on separate systems, so it wouldn’t count.

Hello and very helpful post. By any chance do you know if guest passes still work for retired cast members? I know they used to but I don’t know if the policy has changed. Thank you

Thanks for posting the blackout dates!

The Shanghai castle is beautiful. Disney Land Shanghai is very easy to get to using the metro system in Shanghai. The train actually stops in Mickey town aka downtown Disney. I loved it.

When I go to Disneyland with my self admittance pass can I still pass my family members with me ? Or do my family member count as main entrance pass even though I’m using my self admittance pass ?

Hi I want to know block out dates for the summer and for October 2019 Thank You

    Like

    • They aren’t published that far in advance, usually only 3 months.

This is March, so the blockout days for March-April-May have been published.
With Star Wars opening May 31st, expect guest pass blockout all of June-July-Aug and until after Labor Day in Sept.
Cast members should expect their self admission pass to be blocked at Disneyland all of June and maybe until after 4th of July.

Am I reading the website wrong? I just checked out the Block-Out Dates website, and it shows guest passes available for September for both parks.

    Like

    • You don’t have the right boxes checked for Disneyland and California Adventure Park.
Disneyland is totally blocked out for using guest passes for all of September.
CAP has several blockout days scheduled in September for using guest passes.

Take another look at the blockout months in our blog.
      It is correct for September.
Sometimes, Disney Parks adds/removes blockout days so we always tell people to check before they go.

      Have a magical day!
