CP Laundry Facilities: This is the way we wash our clothes…

Each DCP complex has their own onsite laundry facilities.

Depending on which DCP complex you live in, the laundry facilities are all different.

Best is at The Commons, with a stacked washer/dryer unit in every apartment.  A dream come true!!  No more having to deal with people rudely taking your laundry out of machines -or worse – stealing your clothes out of the dryer!

Second best is Chatham Square or Patterson Court.  There are laundry buildings scattered across each housing property.  In each laundry building, the high-efficiency washers and dryers accept debit or credit cards.

The machines are equipped with new technology (LaundryView) that allows the user to sign up for text or email message alerts when the load is complete, and also check which building has washers and dryers that are available.

You can also use the link to report a problem with a washer/dryer.

Washers and dryers are located on the ground floor of each building at Vista Way.

They operate on a prepaid laundry card, credit cards, and quarters. These prepaid cards can be purchased outside of the Vista Way clubhouse, near the Clubroom.

They cost $5, with a $1 non-refundable fee. You can add money to your laundry card at anytime.  Vista Way is currently the only complex that utilizes the prepaid laundry card system, but that could change soon.

It costs $1.50 to wash and another $1.50 to dry a load of laundry. Single-serve laundry supplies are available via nearby vending machines, but we recommend buying a bottle of laundry detergent or the HE detergent pods, and also a box of dryer sheets.

Two Girls and a Mouse Tale

by Elly Collins & Caroline Collins

Ever wonder what it’s like to work for Disney???

We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.

We’ve included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney.

Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.

  1. I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and engaging, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I came across this in my hunt for something regarding this.

  2. Wow, the laundry room looks so clean and tidy! That’s one of my major turn-offs when it comes to communal washing – some are super dusty!
