My dad and brother, Christian, have been sailing around the Florida Keys for the past week with Boy Scouts. They decided to change their flight back so they could spend a day with me! Literally 1 day. So, we went Disney Crazy!
Our first stop? Visiting my favorite place: Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Starting our wild, pedal-to-the-metal day:
After we walked on to Dinosaur, we tried our luck at Expedition Everest. Walked on!
As you walk between Africa and Asia, there is the most beautiful view of the Tree of Life! ❤
You can read more about it here.
My #1 goal today was to buy one of the new ‘You are Here’ Starbucks mugs from DAK! Yes!!!!

After only 3 hours, we headed to our next stop: EPCOT!
By now, it was after 12pm, so we stopped by the UK pavilion to get Christian some Fish and Chips, and then headed to France to get some lunch for Dad and me.
Dad and I split a quiche Lorraine and a Jambon Beurre. Christian said his fish and chips were the best he has ever had!
We got fast passes for Living with the Land, Finding Nemo, and Spaceship Earth.
We also made time to go on the fun ride at Mexico! It’s my new favorite ride at World Showcase since they closed Maelstrom!
In total, Dad and Christian were with me for only 18 hours before they had to get on a plane back to Colorado! It was SO sad saying goodbye to them!!
I wish they could have stayed longer, but I have more company coming for a visit this weekend!
Two Girls and a Mouse Tale
by Elly Collins & Caroline Collins
We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program (Fall 2013/Spring 2014) and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.
We included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney.
