I finally went to the Ale House – arguably a DCP “must” if you’re over 21 during your program. It is right by DCP housing and has a reputation for being delicious.
Several of my friends and roommates told me about their Mountain Melt and I was SO excited to finally get to order it.
It is a huge plate of fries, covered in melted cheese, topped with chicken tenders! You get to choose your sauce too – I got the honey BBQ. It comes with ranch for dipping. Yum!!!!!!
There is also a pizza option! SO good!
The Ale House is also known for having super cheap drink deals.
I got the Cherry and Smirnoff Limeade for only $3! It was so good! There’s also good beer deals like a 6 beer bucket for only $8. (A good deal if you drink beer and don’t find it super gross like I do…haha)
Finally, best of all, Disney cast members get a discount! Yay!
I definitely recommend visiting it and especially ordering the Mountain Melt! It looks and feels like a dive bar, but I loved it!

Ever wonder what it’s like to work for Disney???
We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program (Fall 2013/Spring 2014) and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.
We’ve included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney.
