Here’s our CP tip:  Ask every time!  There are too many restaurants and blackout dates and restrictions to keep track of!  We always ask (nicely of course!) at every place we eat at, including the QSFB ones!

You just never know!

Dining reservations can be booked directly online at: www.disneyworld.com/dining or by calling 407-WDW-CAST.

Two Girls and a Mouse Tale

by Elly Collins & Caroline Collins

Ever wonder what it’s like to work for Disney???

We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.

We’ve included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney. Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.

Do you have a list of the restaurants that are doing 40% off right now for certain meal times? We were at Trail’s End yesterday and were given 40% for breakfast, but I’m not sure who else is doing that.

If you work for a Disney owned company like ABC, Marvel or ESPN, do you qualify for these discounts?

    Like

    • No, not these discounts. These discounts are for Disney Parks and Resorts cast members.
Employees of Disney-owned subsidiaries, like ABC or The Disney Stores, do get other Disney discounts on merchandise, park tickets and cruises.

That was true in the past, but starting this year employees at Disney-owned subsidiaries can request to have the Holiday Celebration perks sent to you. I don’t know if it’s too late now, but try emailing Employee.Center@disney.com and ask.

So I don’t see Narcoossee’s on the list. Does that mean it will not be included? Or would it be available for the regular 20% CM discount?

    Like

  4. Narcoossee’s is one of the restaurants with a lot of restrictions for getting the CM discount, like you can’t use it for dinner discount until after 8pm or 9pm.
We’ve only gotten the 20% there, but I wonder if you can use one of the 40% family celebration coupons that come out tomorrow??

If I called, would they be able to tell me? Our reservation is for 5:30pm so it might not matter anyway since you stated it would have to be a later reservation. Trying to plan ahead. Thanks for your reply.

  5. Yes, but you must call the restaurant directly (407) 824-1400, not the 407-WDW-DINE. I think your reservation is too early to get the dinner dining discount.
BUT, we didn’t realize that restriction when we ate there, so we talked to the manager and he approved giving us the discount (it was a slow night in the winter). He was very nice.

I have been surfing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting
article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for
me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the
web will be a lot more useful than ever before.

I’m surprised at how fast your blog loaded on my cell phone ..

I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyways, fantastic

Wonderful blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News.

Do you have any suggestions on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Many thanks

Hello, when it denotes that you get 20% after 8:00PM, does that still mean you can go during lunch or breakfast hours and get a 20% discount? Thanks

    • No cast member dining discount at that restaurant until after 8pm.
Sometimes the manager will let you have a discount if it’s slow and close to 8pm (like 7:15pm), but don’t count on it (although they have done it for us several times when we’ve asked nicely!).
