One of the most popular things to do at Epcot’s World Showcase is a challenge called “Drinking Around The World”.
This challenge is where guests aim to have one drink at each of Epcot’s 11 World Showcase countries in one day.
It’s not easy and it’s not cheap…but, it is fun!
During the International Flower and Garden Show in the spring and then again during the Food and Wine Festival in the fall, stand-alone booths are set up for extra countries, which means there are even more drinks to sample. You can even get a free “passport” booklet with the drinks listed and have them stamp it at every country you sample.
Best Drink: In Mexico, hands down. We recommend a stop at the La Cava Del Tequila inside the Mexico pavilion to get your drinking trip around the World Showcase started. Try one of several unique margaritas or a flight of tequila– our favorite!
Some Challenge Advice
Pace Yourself. There’s no prize for getting this done quick. Or even done at all! Set a whole day aside to do this and remember, there’s nothing wrong with admitting to yourself that you’ve hit your limit and taking a break. Take your time — it’s certainly not a race. Spend a whole afternoon and evening to make your trip, and cap it all off with a viewing of IllumiNations at 9pm. And, plan on a designated driver, of course!
Drink lots of water and eat some food. In addition to getting a drink at every country, make a point of getting water at least at every other country and have some kind of food throughout the day. The Florida sun can be brutal, even in the non-summer months, so be aware of how much you’re getting affected by it.
Budget appropriately. Like most things at WDW, the drinks are going to be expensive ranging anywhere between $7 and $16 each. A good budget is $100 for the challenge, more during the Flower and Garden Show or the Food and Wine Festival!

Ever wonder what it’s like to work for Disney???
We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program (Fall 2013/Spring 2014) and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.
We’ve included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney. Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.
