Ever wonder what it’s like to work for Disney???

We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.

We’ve included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney. Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.

Hi! I read some of your articles on here and they’re super interesting! I was wondering if you could help me out with this question:
Me and my boyfriend are both Canadians and want to work at Disney World someday! Do you think we can both live in an apartment together? Can we just work at Epcot? Thank you so much for everything! I’ll keep following you!

    • Because you’re both Canadian, Disney needs to sponsor you with a work permit (J1 Visa), which means you’ll need to apply to the International College Program (ICP).
There is housing available for married couples doing the DCP/ICP program. You get a 1 bedroom apartment, usually over at Patterson Court. There is no coed housing available for unmarried cast members.
Everyone doing the ICP program ends up at Epcot as a Cultural Representative as part of their work visa. The ICP program runs much longer than the DCP program – 1 year vs. 4-5 months.

Good luck and we hope that you apply!

      Have a magical day!

Hi! Thank you so much for your answers! I looked everywhere online and found nothing about this! Last question : Do we have to be married? We’re in couple since 3 years but don’t have any religion and don’t think about getting married now haha! Thank you so much for your time 🙂 Have a magical day too! ❤

      • You should follow the ICP blog:

        http://ip.disneycareers.com/en/default/

It is illegal to discriminate housing and require couples to be married to rent an apartment together….however, because it’s a College Program there are all these rules that they legally can have….no coed housing being one of them. Guests have to be out by 2am, no overnight guests, etc., etc.
As far as we know, only married couples may share an apartment. (I believe gay married couples may also request an apartment together.)
So, first hurdle before you think marriage: Get accepted into the ICP program!

        🙂
