Lions and Tigers and Strollers, Oh My!
This is not Caroline’s first time in the Disney College Program. Along with her sister, she was previously accepted into the program a few years earlier. Back in Colorado, Caroline was wishing for a little more pixie dust to brighten up her life. On a whim, she decides to apply to the exclusive Disney Alumni Summer Program.
Now that she’s back, things get wild.
Wild, as in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where Caroline is assigned to work in Stroller Rental. While not the most glamorous position in the park, it’s often ground zero for humanity at its best and at its worst.
While Caroline makes many “Magical Moments” for deserving guests whose pixie dust has gone temporarily sideways, she also receives magical moments of her own through the friendships she makes, going to Disney cast member exclusive events, and all the spectacular dining opportunities at Disney World.
Caroline tells all – from the ins and outs of Disney’s secret training class called Traditions; to learning how to be a happy cast member during on-the-job training; to what it’s like to interact with fellow cast members and the guests who are ready to explore the most magical place on earth.
Join Caroline as she takes you on a wild ride through her adventures in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But be careful, it’s a jungle out there!
Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.

Hi there I am a cast member from the UK visiting WDW Orlando soon – will they swipe my card in the on site stores or can I just show it? I am not sure it will work if being swiped/ if it is even the same card.

As a WDW cast member, do our main entrance passes count as our holiday ticket or do we have to use one of the ones given to us for guests?
LikeLike
The Holiday Celebration park hopper ticket is in addition to your guest passes.
So, if you have 3 guest passes, the holiday pass makes it 3 + 1 = 4 guests passes total.
Check on The Hub under >>Complimentary Passes to see the number you have available for family and friends.
Remember, you must use your Holiday Celebration pass before Feb. 16th or it expires.

Love your blog! Do you know if Operating Participants are eligible for the 40% off merchandise special? I don’t have access to the HUB to confirm.

We think so.
Were you eligible for the 20% discount prior to Oct. 16th by showing your OP ID?
If so, your discount went up to 40%.

So, with these tickets can we go to any of the parks on the same day, so kinda like hopper passes, or we just pick one park to go to.

I was hired December 14th, and have been working steadily through the Christmas season, but have not received my Main Gate Pass, or the Holiday passes. Who do I call?
LikeLike
You will not receive the 2017 Holiday Celebration Booklet.
You needed to be hired by October 1, 2017 as they were mailed out 10/12/17.
Next year!
Your Main Gate takes up to 2 weeks. This is the busiest time of the year for HR with end-of-year stuff going on.
You should get it by Jan 5th.
If not, contact your manager and she can help.
Have a magical day! 🙂

If my daughter does Spring or Spring Advantage, will she be eligible to receive the Family Holiday Celebration package?
LikeLike
Unfortunately, no. You have to be employed in October to get the holiday booklet.
A lot of Fall CPs don’t use all their coupons, especially the hotel ones, and work friends/roommates might be willing to share their booklet when they leave in January. (They are not linked to the cast member.)
