Conchas are a delicious Mexican Sweet Bread.
The festive Conchas headband can be found at the Mexico pavilion in Epcot and also at Disneyland.
These beautiful Minnie Ears were designed to represent the very popular Mexican sweet bread (pan dulce) typically made with sugar, butter, and flour. The topping cracks during the baking process giving the sweet bread a crunchy, shell-like appearance. Pan dulce is perfect for breakfast with a nice cup of café or during the merienda for an afternoon snack.
The bow is inspired and colored after the traditional Mexican Zarape textile stripes and covered with clear flat sequins that add lots of brillo (shimmer and shine)!
We’ve written two books about our time working and playing at Disney World.
Both are available on Amazon.com: Two Girls and a Mouse Tale and Adventures in the Animal Kingdom.
