The Dream Lights are lit for the holidays!

The Cinderella Castle Dream Lights. (Teal, my favorite color!)

It’s the Holidays at the Magic Kingdom!!!

Disney decorates Cinderella Castle for the holiday season with a “Dream Lights” effect that makes the Castle look covered in ice.

Over 350,000 LED lights are draped over the turrets and roofs and down the sides of the Castle to create this beautiful effect.  It takes over 7 weeks to hang all the lights!

We’ve gotten to see the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights being turned on for the past several years.  It’s beautiful each and every time!

The Dream Lights will stay lit until after the Disney Marathon Weekend happening January 8 – 12, 2020.  The lights are so beautiful in the early morning sunlight when the runners are lining up.

They are also on in the early morning, not turned off until around 7am.  So pretty as the sun is coming up!

6pm:  The start of the Frozen show –“A Frozen Holiday Wish” – where Queen Elsa lights the Castle’s Dream Lights with a sweep of her hand.

Just after dark around 6pm, the characters from ‘Frozen’ come out on the Castle Stage and do a short show called “A Frozen Holiday Wish”.  The castle lighting show stars Queen Elsa (who turns on the Dream Lights with her magical, icy powers), Princess Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf the snowman.

The Frozen show starts the evening’s celebrations, followed by the Castle’s lighting ceremony at 6:15 pm.  The Castle’s Dream Lights remain on, with the Castle slowly changing colors from pink to green to blue to purple, for the rest of the evening until one hour after park closing.

I could watch them change colors all night.  This is one of my favorite shades, blue into purple.  Just dazzling!  I probably have over 500+ photos of the Dream Lights that I’ve taken over the years!!!

Stunning!  Icy blue.
Teal into the ‘Frozen’ blues.  **Sigh**  Just beautiful.
The four side turrets house the state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems for all the different shows put on every day.
