Opens March 4, 2020!!

The Cast Member Previews were held for the new Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction and it got rave reviews.

The old attraction’s tracks and large capacity car seating were replaced with a new smooth, trackless system with smaller train cars. Nice!

Total ride time is 4 minutes and 30 seconds from start to stop.

The new merchandise arrived this week. Super cute!

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway puts you inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse ‘Cartoon Short’ where you’re the star and anything can happen.

On the attraction, the fun begins as you watch the premiere of a new cartoon short with Mickey and Minnie getting ready for a picnic. As they head out, they drive alongside a train and find out that the train’s engineer is Goofy. Then, one magical moment lets you step into the movie and onto Goofy’s train for a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will feature a new catchy theme song created especially for the attraction as well as a new immersive experience that “defies logic” that Disney is calling 2 ½-D. No glasses will be required for the attraction.
This sounds a little bit like “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”.

The ‘Potatoland’ song will be featured in the wait queue. ♫♪♫♪♪♫♪

The Great Movie Ride

The Great Movie Ride debuted with the DHS park on May 1, 1989.
By 2017 when it closed – 28 years later! – the vast majority of the guests no longer recognized most of the movie stars in the 12 scenes. About the only familiar scene for any guest under 25 years old was The Wizard of Oz. (You could actually have a Disney wedding and get married in that scene!)

This ride really showed its age after almost 30 years with no updates.
We’re looking forward to seeing the new ride!
