    Let’s Dance!

There is a dazzling array of over 70 topiary displays – some brand new!, gardens and exhibits—each featuring seasonal designs or several popular Disney characters, including some new ones.

Remy is brand new for 2020.

Brand new in Epcot’s topiary lineup is Remy, a rat character from “Ratatouille,” standing on a piece of cheese in the France pavilion. He’s surrounded by planting that represent the ratatouille ingredients. (Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is set to open this summer.)

    Topiary Magic Awaits You!

Some of the topiaries have moved around due to all the construction, but they’ve all returned this year!

Load up your Flower and Garden Festival mini gift card with $100 for all the food and drink to try! 🙂  It comes with a paper card embedded with wildflower seeds ready to plant.  Nice!

Yes, there are flowers, but there’s also special foods available during the festival!

The food offerings are different than the ones seen at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. In many cases, the lead menu item is plant-based.

“This is all about Mother Earth. … Protein is the secondary star,” Kesting says. “It really showcases all the garden goodness that’s out there.”

Among the garden edibles: fried green tomatoes, roasted beets, fried cauliflower, potato pancakes with apple sauce, chilled cucumber soup and grilled maple pound cake with peach compote.

    Roasted corn on the cob!

Disney is going not only for sights and sounds, but for good smells as well. Outdoor grills will be used for the corn on the cob at the Trowel & Trellis kitchen in Showcase Plaza.

“It’s like you’re going to a local farmer’s market. You are immersed,” Kesting says. “That’s our goal for any of our festivals.”

On the liquid side, there’s a delicious beverage at the Citrus Blossom kitchen. The orange cream slushy is a nonalcoholic option that comes in a plastic cup shaped like the Orange Bird character.

There are 16 “outdoor kitchens” at this year’s event, including a new one called Magnolia Kitchen located in the American Adventure pavilion.

Set up around the World Showcase, the 16 Outdoor Kitchens offer regional and national delicacies to sample and taste, with the emphasis on fresh-from-the-garden goodness. Small plates and beverages give guests the chance to try specialty recipes from many international locations!

Most dishes are in the $3 – $8 range. Don’t forget that many of these are available for a Disney Dining Food snack credit!

Our tip:  Plan on spending about $60+ sampling all the cuisine.  Add more for the alcoholic beverages.
