Disney World Delays the Reopening Dates for Several Resorts


Not reopening now for guests until October  4th.

Disney World announced an update to their planned reopening dates for several on-property resorts. Here’s the revised reopening timeline through November 1st:

July 29: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Aug. 24: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Sept. 21: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Oct. 4:  Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (delayed from August 12)

Oct. 14: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Nov. 1: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (delayed from August 12)

resort updateDisney has deleted the previously announced reopening dates for Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Those resorts will remain closed until further notice while Disney reevaluates their reopening timeline due to the “fluidity of the pandemic”.

Low booking rates through the fall with all international travelers blocked from travelling to the US.
International travel to the US has basically ground to a halt. Anyone coming home from the US must quarantine for 14 days.
Park Hours July 2020
All the parks are open for 10 hours a day now, except the two water parks which are still closed.
July 27, 2020 Update:  For the first time since March, cast members can try and use their self admission pass to get a reservation to go to 3 of the WDW parks.

If Disney World is able to stay open for the next 2 years during the global pandemic – and that’s a big IF – it’s projected to have 66 Million fewer visitors through 2022.
