How To Autograph Like a Disney Princess

photo-8

All the Disney princesses have a unique signature and they always sign their autograph the exact same way!

Yup, that’s right.  All the Disney characters at every Disney Park must sign their name using the same the Disney signature font.  Same swirl – or heart – over the i, same swirl underneath the name, same floating bubbles….

How cool is that??!!!

We always collect character autographs while visiting any Disney park:

All characters must learn to sign their name the correct way.

All characters must learn to sign their name the correct way. It takes a few days of training and practice to make it perfect.  🙂

But, what if you don’t have time to stand in the character meet and greet lines???

Did you know that you can get a signed autographed postcard or picture from your favorite Disney character in the mail?

disney-postcardSend your request to your favorite character to the address below.  What Disney will send you varies from 5 x 7 character postcards to full 8 x 10 photos… make sure you address the letter to your favorite character – they’ll try to send the letter back from that character when they send the picture!  Usually takes 4 weeks.

But wait, what about Walt’s famous signature?

Do you think you can recognize it??

The offical Disney Company logo.

The official Disney Company logo, Walt Disney Pictures.

You might think that you know Walt Disney’s signature – after all it’s at the beginning of every Disney movie – but you’re wrong!

logo3 (2)The Disney Company logo is actually a “stylized version” of Walt Disney’s signature.

As can be seen on legal documents, Disney’s own signature was not nearly as exciting or intricate.

That's his real signature on his passport.

That’s his real signature on his passport.

The ‘Walt Disney’ signature used by the company was actually designed by an animator and is not his real signature. They say that Disney didn’t like the way his real signature looked. In fact, rumor has it that Walt couldn’t even reproduce the famed Disney signature!

But, you know who can reproduce his style of writing???

Mickey Mouse!

Yup, look at how he signs his name and it’s actually Walt’s signature!

Spike’s map

BRAND NEW THIS YEAR:  Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration

There’s a new springtime scavenger hunt at Epcot called Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration. In this hunt, Disney’s favorite honey bee, Spike, has been pollinating his way around the flower festival, giving gardeners of any age the chance to follow his pollination trail around World Showcase at Epcot.

It’s easy to start this new scavenger hunt.  Just pick up a garden map and stickers at Port of Entry. Then, it’s time to look for Spike!

As you explore the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, be on the lookout for Spike as he pollinates Epcot’s gardens. In each garden, you’ll have to search for the plant Spike has pollinated, identifiable by Spike himself and a Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration plant stake. Once you find him, add the corresponding sticker to your map.

After your journey is complete, return your map for a springtime surprise.

Fine Dining in Disneyland’s Dream Suite: 21 Royal

royal2

Just $15,000 and this party place can be yours!

Disneyland’s former Dream Suite is now 21 Royal, a $15,000-per-table exclusive dining experience!

The 21 Royal venue was converted into a dining area during the recent renovation of Club 33 in late 2017.

royal1

21 Royal – The Disneyland Dream Suite

The 21 Royal experience starts when your party of up to 12 guests arrives at the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where they will be greeted by the hotel’s valets and given a VIP escort into Disneyland Park. Guests are welcomed by the 21 Royal staff with signature cocktails are served by professional butlers in the salon, overseen by sommelier Matt Ellingson.

royal3

Cocktails are served on the outdoor private patio.

A casual cocktail reception on the patio follows, with time to explore the different rooms of the venue and their “magical features.”

royal4Guests take their seats around a lavish table covered in white linens, fresh flowers and set with gold-plated dinnerware and fine crystal, for the highly customized seven course dinner prepared by executive chef Andrew Sutton and chef de cuisine Justin Monson. Using a chosen theme for the evening as inspiration, the team prepares a unique menu that represents “Disney storytelling at its delicious best.” The chefs work directly with premier suppliers—both local and international — including farmers, fishermen and other sustainable sources, then match them with the pairings from the extensive 21 Royal wine collection.

royal6

The 21 Royal wine collection.

21 Royal guests can end their evening with a grand finale dessert on the private balcony, which features a view of the Rivers of America, and on certain nights, prime viewing of the park’s nighttime entertainment.

walk17

Dessert on the private balcony.

The price for all this pampering is $15,000, including tax, gratuity, valet and theme park admission. For the maximum party size of 12, which translates to $1,250 per person; there’s no discount for fewer guests.

If the price tag doesn’t scare you off, you can reserve your 21 Royal party up to 6 months in advance by calling the 21 Royal concierge at (714) 300-7749.
