Mardi Gras – Fat Tuesday – is today – March 5, 2019!
It’s celebrated at all the Disney parks, but especially at Disney World and Disneyland!
Meeting Princess Tiana at the Magic Kingdom. Her gown is so beautiful and has so many layers!!!
At Disney World’s Port Orleans Resort, there is a mini-float parade consisting of themed golf carts decorated by resort cast members at 10am on Fat Tuesday.
Here comes the Mardi Gras golf cart parade at Disney’s Port Orleans!
The mini parade features music, Disney characters in Mardi Gras costumes, and free party beads and candy for guests along the parade route.
Try some sugar-dusted beignets at Sassagoula Floatworks Food Factory restaurant at Port Orleans!
We got to eat at Sassagoula Floatworks Food Factory at Port Orleans for Mardi Gras and really liked it!
It’s a Mardi Gras celebration there every day!

House specialties include famous New Orleans-style Beignets, fresh baked goods, pizza, pasta, hamburgers, split-roasted chicken, BBQ ribs, Po’ Boys and scrumptious sandwiches.

Come Celebrate Mardi Gras and Carnevale at Disney Springs!
The beginning of March marks the time to get together with friends and celebrate Mardi Gras. While famously celebrated on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Disney Springs is offering up its own spin on this favorite holiday complete with food and entertainment that will have you “jazzed” to celebrate!
First things first, you have to dress the part, right?
New Minnie Mardi Gras Ears
No celebration is complete without a pair of ears and these Mardi Gras-inspired Minnie Mouse ears make for the perfect party accessory! These beauties feature all the fun colors and patterns of Mardi Gras.
The House of Blues Restaurant & Bar is offering classic New Orleans favorites such as Steak Po’Boy, Jambalaya, Gumbo, and Bourbon Bread Pudding.
You can grab all of these dishes at the Smokehouse grab and go window now through March 5th. In addition to delicious food, there will be live music, drink specials and prizes March 1-5 in the House of Blues Courtyard. With no cover or reservations required, this is a celebration you won’t want to miss!
