Starbucks at DAK

I love visiting the Starbucks at Creature Comforts!!!

Getting a sweet and cold caramel frappachino to start the day out right at DAK!

It was so cool seeing how they’ve redecorated my old work location!  It is set up with two lines, both offering the same things.  First you go to a Cast Member for sandwiches and desserts, then you order your drinks.

The lines move really fast.

I’m obsessed with the DAK-exclusive cupcakes at Creature Comforts, all $5.19 each!!

My favorite!! The Tree of Life Cupcake!

And, this is the only place to buy DAK Starbucks mugs!  I bought 2 of them for my collection.

Love these mugs!

You Are Here mug: front with Tree of Life.

My new You Are Here DAK mug – the front of mug with Tree of Life.

Here are the adorable Starbucks cups!  WITH a lid!  The official drink policy at DAK is no lids or straws fro drinks, but they are bending this rule for the new Starbucks.

The straws are green and made out of double thick paper, not plastic.  (Plastic straws are dangerous to the wildlife animals at DAK if they accidentally eat them.)

Two Girls and a Mouse Tale

by Elly Collins & Caroline Collins

Ever wonder what it’s like to work for Disney???

We worked at WDW for a year in the Disney College Program (Fall 2013/Spring 2014) and have written a book about what it’s like to be a cast member working for Disney.

We’ve included advice on how to successfully get into the DCP program, including some of the actual phone interview questions, how to have a successful internship, and how not self-term before your program ends. Our book is filled with lots of behind-the-scene stories of the magic of Disney. Available now at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Published by Theme Park Press.

Having a Starbucks Drink at Disney World

Getting a Starbucks drink at DTD.

Getting a Starbucks drink at DTD.

When facing a 12+ hour day at the parks, who couldn’t use a Starbucks coffee to start the day out right??

There are 6 Starbucks locations on WDW property:

This Starbucks is HUGE and the line moves very fast!

This DTD Starbucks is HUGE and the line moves very fast!

Downtown Disney West Side (9am – Midnight) Opening on May 30, 2014, this unusual store is one of just four company-owned Starbucks in Disney properties around the world.  Besides being the largest Starbucks we’ve ever been in, it also has an interactive display that shows a “chalk” outline of customers that walk in front. Even cooler, the display connects to a sister store at the Downtown Disney property in Anaheim, CA.

The Downtown Disney West Side Starbucks now serves beer and wine (part of the “Starbucks Evenings” program) – a first for any Starbucks in the state. They also have a cool grass art work piece (see photo above) and a fire for cold nights. Great place to sit back and relax from all the disney craziness.
