The DCP Program Guide has all the program info and guidelines that you need to know!
The Points and Reprimand System for Disney World CP cast members*
3 points within 30 days of each other = 1 Reprimand
6 points within 90 days of each other = 2 Reprimands
9 points within 180 days of each other = 3 Reprimands, CPs TERMED
12 points within 365 days of each other = 4 Reprimands = CMs TERMED
*At Disneyland, it’s the above point/reprimand system x 3.
Note: Points and Reprimands do NOT “disappear” from your employment record! If you’ve heard otherwise from a fellow cast member, it’s not true! But, they won’t be carried forward if you convert from a CP to a CM after your program has ended.
As stated above, CPs who extend in their role will carry forward any points and reprimands from their first program into their extension!
Points for Clocking in Late to Work (mainly due to riding cast member buses to work!)
1 minute to 2 hours late = 1/2 point*
Over 2 hours late to work = 1 point
*If your shift starts at 9:00am, you must clock in between 8:45am – 9:00am. Clocking in at 9:01am is 1/2 point!
Calling Out
CPs get no (0, zero) sick days or personal days during their program.
Calling out or no show = 1 point
Taking Time Off During Your Program
Requesting time off – called ADO, for Approved Day Off – may or may not be approved by your manager depending on scheduling.
You can’t take more than 10 consecutive days off in a 14 day period.
Spring CPs are more likely to get ADOs than Fall CPs.
Self Terming
And, finally, are you seriously thinking about self terming?
The DCP Program isn’t for everyone! IT IS HARD WORK!!!
Some people don’t get along with their roommates, some CPs don’t like their role or their leaders, some people get sick during their program…there’s lots of reasons to stay, but there’s also a lot of valid reasons to leave.
How To Self Term From the DCP Program
Restricted Rehire
Sometimes things don’t work out and you have to leave the program early.
You’ll be placed on Restricted Rehire status for at least 6 months after you separate from the company.

Is the rumor about calling out your final week and getting automatically termed true? I am currently ill from a bug or food poisoning and it is my last week. So I am really terrified that I am going to get termed. But they only term upon reprimands right?

This rumor comes up at the end of every single DCP program!
IT IS NOT TRUE!
A point is a point. Period.
Doesn’t matter if it’s your last week or a holiday like Christmas Day.
It’s just a point!

I was termed for missing my very last shift of the college program. I had started a new job (as the CP program was coming to an end) and I worked for almost 2 weeks at both my CP Disney job and the other resort job, but the very last shift scheduled at Disney overlapped with the new job and I had to miss the Disney shift. I later found out I am not considered a CP alumni and was termed for the missed shift. I only had one other half of a shift I missed when I was super sick and permitted to leave by my leader, although I did not go through the proper ER request that is usually done to leave early. I was really sick, I didn’t have time to wait.

Yes, we know of another CP who was termed for missing her very last shift (she had a plane to catch and had to be home for a wedding) after working a double DCP program for almost a year.
This puts you on Restricted Rehire for at least 6 months, so you can’t join the DCP Alumni group.
After 6 months, you can call Casting and see if it’s been lifted. Might take a year.

Hi! I have the same question as Kat. So is it ok to call out or call sick for the last week without being termed? I am so worried about it. Is it just cost me a point to call out or call sick in the last week as usual? I am so worried about it. Thank you so much!

YES, IT IS OK TO CALL OUT…you will NOT be termed.
You will get 1 point on your work record.

We believe so.
ICPs are a little different because they are on a 1 year contract, but they can still get points for being late and can be termed from the program and sent home for poor job performance.

What is the 90 day probation period? I’m not a CP I’m part time so I’m worried about racking up too many points in the future so I’m looking for a better understanding of how it works. Will Disney term you if you get more than a certain amount of points in that 90 day period or something?

Disney has a union representing the workers at the Disney Parks and Resorts. But not at the Disney Stores.
Within the first 90 days of employment, you can be fired without cause. Your manager can call you in, take away your Disney ID and Main Gate Pass and block your Hub access. All without any reason.
After 90 days, there are HR procedures to follow.
Do not get any points (for being late, missing work, etc.) or have any bad interactions with guests within your first 90 day probation period!

This Just happened to me I had 3 call outs in a 30 day period and have been there for 60 days I was terminated and am taking it up with the Union . do they have the right to fire me !

If I’m reading your question right, you were still in your probationary hiring period and had too many call outs.
Yes, Disney can terminate you.
You can ask the union for help if there was a valid reason for all the call outs (like a car accident), but without a good reason, the termination will stand.

Will points and reprimands ever disappear? I have 2 reprimands from when I worked there in Fall 2016 and was wondering if that will negatively affect me if I want to apply for Spring 2018?

They don’t ever “disappear” from your Disney employment record; however, they shouldn’t affect your returning to the company.

Hi I’m a former ICP and I’m trying to reapply for the CRP at the Mexican pavilion but I’m a little worried about my points.
I got 3 points in a period of 60 days. Already called the casting number you posted and they told me I’m clear.
Still im worried cause my program ended just 10 days ago and I dont know if they already collected all of my info.

Yes, Casting has all your employment points and congratulations, you are NOT on Restricted Rehire!
You should apply for the CRP role, but it’s not necessary to bring up your points from the ICP program during any interview. They do NOT carry forward into a regular job at Disney.
